April Dawn Irving was convicted September 30, 2019 of four (4) offenses under the Animal Protection Act for causing distress to dogs. Ms. Irving was first charged after the Alberta SPCA removed more than 200 emaciated dogs from a property in the Milk River area in December 2014 and January 2015. A number of dead dogs were also found on the property. On December 4, 2019, Ms. Irving was fined $15,500 in Lethbridge Provincial Court and given a life-time prohibition from owning dogs in Alberta.
