The Alberta SPCA and Chestermere RCMP are seeking information as part of an ongoing investigation into a suspected animal cruelty case involving a six-week-old grey tabby kitten. The kitten was found mutilated and abandoned in a garbage container along a walking trail between West Creek Springs and West Creek Close in Chestermere on Saturday, June 13.
The kitten is believed to have been placed there between the morning of Friday, June 12 and the afternoon of Saturday, June 13.

Animal cruelty is an offence under the Criminal Code of Canada.
